Brain gymnastics (educational kinesiology). Exercises for well-being Kinesiology for weight loss

For thousands of years, traditional Chinese medicine relieves pain, improves the functioning of internal organs, and also relieves stress and all its consequences by influencing biologically active points on the human body.

A set of kinesiological exercises"Three Strikes" affects a number of such points to improve your health, make you more energetic and help you resist the diseases that come with the onset of cold weather.

Kinesiological exercises

Kinesiology is a branch of medicine located at the intersection of osteopathy, manual therapy, acupuncture, homeopathy, traditional and alternative medicine.

The main principle of treatment in kinesiology is the trinity of health. A kinesiology practitioner must balance the three components of a patient's health.

  1. Structural: spine, internal organs, ligaments, muscles. For this purpose, methods of influence are used from osteopathy and massage to various manual therapies.
  2. Chemical: metabolism, removal of toxins, balance of microelements. It is important to accurately test the muscle response to drugs, identify possible side effects and immediately remove them. Usually, if necessary, kinesiologists prescribe homeopathy or allopathic remedies.
  3. Mental: energy, emotions. Balance is achieved by targeting acupuncture points and energy meridians.

If you perform these simple kinesiological exercises as a five-minute exercise, the energy flows in your body will not form congestion, their flow will become free, strengthening your immune system, restoring your strength and increasing vitality.

Set of exercises “Three strikes”

By stimulating these biologically active points, you strike three times: against illness, depression and poor health. The exercises are quite simple, but they are worth doing.

Launch point "K-27"- this is the twenty-seventh pair of points on the kidney meridian. These connecting points, and they trigger the entire body, giving it a surge of missing energy.

  1. How to find points? Place the fingers of one hand (thumb and index together with the middle one) on the collarbone. Move them towards the center until you feel the bump. Go down about an inch and a little to the sides on both sides. Anatomically, most people have a notch there where the fingers go.
  2. Place one hand on your navel. The fingers are all connected together. This hand will not move.
  3. Inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth, massage the K-27 points with your fingers.
  4. Swap your hands.

Speech center- the beginning and end of the central and governing meridians.

  1. How to find points? Place the fingers of one hand (thumb and index along with the middle) on the natural indentations under the nose (upper lip) and under the lower lip (on the chin).
  2. Inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth, massage the points of the speech center with your fingers.
  3. Swap your hands.
  4. Do the exercise for 30 seconds.

Lumbar "Points of the Earth"- there are many points along the spine, so this exercise is performed with the entire palm.

  1. How to find points? Place the palm of one hand (all fingers together) on the lumbar region (the palm is located above the natural depressions in the lower back). Rub the area vigorously but gently until warm.
  2. The fingers of the second hand remain on the navel and do not move.
  3. Inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth, rub your tailbone with your entire palm.
  4. Swap your hands.
  5. Do the exercise for 30 seconds.

Nikolai’s son is only 7 years old, but he shares his father’s hobbies: what could be better than cozying up and watching the Star Trek series with the whole family? Our author approaches all issues in detail, as evidenced by the quality of his articles. Nikolai's favorite book is “The Black Prince” by Iris Murdoch.

Ecology of Health: Kinesiology is the science of developing mental abilities and achieving physical health through movement exercises. I will share my personal experience of using simple kinesiological exercises

Kinesiological exercises a lot has been developed - I selected from them only those that are convenient to perform in a sitting position, including while working on the computer. And I don’t have the slightest doubt that they really help, otherwise I would have abandoned them long ago, but for a long time now I have been resorting to them every day, fortunately they simple and do not require time.

These exercises can be performed by both adults and children; they invigorate, tone, relieve fatigue, heaviness in the head, help cope with currently unwanted drowsiness, sharpen attention and memory, and also significantly increase the ability to concentrate on the work at hand.

Kinesiology is the science of developing mental abilities and achieving physical health through physical exercise. It includes a combination of theoretical and practical knowledge from naturopathy, physiotherapy, acupuncture, chiropractic, oriental medicine, homeopathy, etc.

By using kinesiology techniques health is strengthened, basic mental processes are optimized (memory, attention, thinking, speech, hearing, imagination, perception), mental performance increases, and the psycho-emotional state improves.

Exercise "Hooks"

To relieve tension, calm the nervous system, concentrate and quickly restore psycho-emotional balance, you need to sit on a chair, cross your legs, placing the ankle of your left foot on the ankle of your right foot.

Then cross your arms, placing the wrist of your right hand on the wrist of your left hand, and then interlock your fingers so that the thumb of your right hand is on top of the thumb of your left hand.

Turn your clasped hands in front of your chest “inside out” so that the clasped fingers point upward. Look straight, look up, the tip of the tongue is pressed to the upper palate (you can press the tip of the tongue to the hard palate while inhaling, relaxing it as you exhale).

Sit in this position for 1-5 minutes until a yawn appears or until you feel enough.

This technique (it can also be performed standing or lying down) seems simple and uncomplicated only at first glance. Kinesiologists claim that with such crossing of the arms, legs and fingers, complex processes occur that lead to the balanced functioning of the motor and sensory centers of both each hemisphere of the brain and midbrain, which is located directly above the hard palate. At the same time, a unification of emotions and thinking processes is achieved (strengthening interhemispheric integration), leading to the most effective work (learning) and response to what is happening.

Exercise "Mirror drawing"

Place a blank sheet of paper on the table. Take a pencil or felt-tip pen in both hands. Start drawing mirror-symmetrical drawings, letters, numbers with both hands at the same time. When performing this exercise, your eyes and hands relax. When the activity of both hemispheres of the brain is synchronized, the efficiency of the entire brain will noticeably increase.

By the way, in kinesiology there is such an interesting technique, not only useful, but also fascinating. Most of us perform routine daily physical activities with our right hand (left-handed people use our left hand). What if you experiment, trying to brush your teeth, comb your hair, pick up certain objects, and so on, with the other hand? Research shows that performing a normal task with your awkward hand activates new areas of the brain and helps develop new connections between brain cells. Such exercises Children really like it.

Exercise "Ear - nose"

With your left hand, grab the tip of your nose, and with your right hand, grab your left ear. Simultaneously release your ear and nose, clap your hands, then change the position of your hands “exactly the opposite.”

Exercise "Poker"

Turn the raised foot inward and swing it back and forth 8 times. Same with the other leg.

Exercise "Saint"

This pose is suitable for relaxation after work. While sitting (you can stand or lie down), keep your legs parallel, without crossing. Connect the fingertips of both hands in pairs, as if grasping a small ball, and place the hands in front of the chest. The gaze is directed downwards, the tip of the tongue is clamped between the teeth. Stay in this position for 1-2 minutes until you yawn or feel enough.
Exercise calms, relieves neuromuscular tension, harmonizes mental processes. Kinesiologists claim that it improves the separate functioning of the right and left hemispheres of the brain.

Exercise "Fronto-occipital correction"

When feelings of anxiety, uncertainty, excitement (or even stress) arise, the so-called fronto-occipital coverage helps. Place one palm on the forehead, the other on the back of the head. To focus on. After taking several deep, even breaths, calmly voice your problem. If speaking out loud doesn’t work, just thinking about it is enough. Sit like this for a couple of minutes. If a yawn occurs, it means that the body is already getting rid of tension.

When the hand touches the forehead, blood flows and it begins to circulate better through the frontal lobes of the brain. In this part of the brain, analysis, awareness and assessment of the problem take place, and ways out of such a situation are determined. At the back of the head there is a zone that visually perceives those images that are then stored in our memory. Applying your palm to this area stimulates blood circulation. A person seems to erase problems, images, negative situations in this way. Thanks to deep breathing, oxygen enters the blood, the air is ventilated - and negativity evaporates from the body. The exercise gives the desired result.

Exercise "Energy Maker"

Place your crossed arms on the table in front of you. Press your chin to your chest. Feel the stretching of the back muscles and relaxation of the shoulder girdle. With a deep breath, tilt your head back, arch your back and open your chest. Then, as you exhale, relax your back again and lower your chin to your chest.

As a result of these actions, the muscles of the neck and shoulder girdle relax, the level of oxygen in the blood increases, the vestibular apparatus is activated, and the flow of cerebrospinal fluid in the central nervous system increases.

I mainly resort to this simple but effective exercise while working at the computer. If you do it for 5-10 minutes, the feeling of fatigue decreases or even disappears completely, your head begins to work noticeably better, and your concentration increases.

Exercise "Brain Buttons"

This is a mini-series of three exercises, as if turning on the “electrical system” of the body. As a result, the blood supply to the brain and the work of both its hemispheres are activated, concentration of attention increases, and the perception of sensory information improves.

Exercise relieves mental fatigue, helps you focus on remembering new information, and even improves coordination. In addition, they Promotes relaxation, relieves nervous tension(and very useful, by the way, for hyperactive, easily excitable people, both adults and children).

Perform each exercise with each hand for 20-30 seconds.

Using the index and middle fingers of one hand, massage the points above the upper lip (middle of the nasolabial fold) and in the middle under the lower lip. The palm of the other hand lies on the navel at this time. At the same time, you need to move your gaze in different directions: left-up and right-down, etc. Then change the position of your hands and repeat the exercise.

Place the index and middle fingers of one hand, applying slight pressure, under the lower lip. At the same time, massage the tailbone area with the fingers of your other hand. Repeat the exercise, changing the position of your hands

Place the palm of one hand on the navel. Use the fingers of your other hand to massage the tailbone area. After 20-30 seconds, change the position of your hands.

Exercise "Elephant"

This is one of the most integrative exercises in Paul Dennison's Brain Gym. It activates and balances the entire “intellect-body” system of the body, improves concentration.

So, press your ear tightly to your shoulder. At the same time, extend one hand, like an elephant’s trunk, and begin to draw a horizontal figure eight with it, starting from the center of the visual field and going up counterclockwise. The eyes follow the movements of the fingertips. Then change hands. Perform the exercise slowly, 3-5 times with each hand.

I really like this exercise and do it quite often throughout the day. Particularly intriguing is the statement of experts, that “Elephant” allows you to identify hidden abilities and expand the boundaries of the brain’s capabilities. published

Based on the findings obtained, a new system emerged - Educational Kinesiology
On the theoretical basis of educational kinesiology, American psychologists Paul and Gail Dennison developed a program

Each of the neurogymnastics exercises stimulates a specific area of the brain and includes a mechanism for combining thought and movement. As a result of this, new educational material is perceived more holistically and naturally, as if by the mind and body, and is therefore better remembered. In addition, brain exercises also help develop motor coordination and psychophysical functions.

Development of fine motor skills.
Development of abilities.
Development of memory and attention.
Speech development.
Development of thinking.
Elimination of dyslexia and dysgraphia.

The kinesiological correction method improves a child’s memory, attention, speech, writing and reading processes, spatial concepts, fine and gross motor skills, reduces fatigue, and increases the ability for voluntary control. Experience shows that educational kinesiology must be used to correct children with developmental disabilities.

Classes should be conducted systematically in a calm, friendly environment. Accurate execution of each exercise is important, so it is necessary to train each student individually. Performing kinesiological exercises is possible both at home with parents, and in object lessons or in special classes in kinesiology. Classes begin with learning exercises that gradually become more complex and the volume of tasks performed increases.

1. Brain Buttons

They help you wake up and get ready for work. They alert the vestibular apparatus, activate the activity of the brain, preparing it for the perception of sensory information.

2. "Hooks"

They help you get involved in any process and fully perceive information. Activate the work of the intellect - the body. The exercise is recommended for those who are under stress to calm down and refocus. Repeat 8-10 times.

Starting position: can be performed standing, sitting, lying down. Cross your ankles as comfortably as possible.

3. “Knee – elbow”

They activate the zone of both hemispheres, form a large number of nerve pathways (commissures), and provide a causally determined level of thinking.

Starting position: Standing.

4. Heel Curl

The part of the brain responsible for the formation and presentation of thoughts is activated, and creative abilities are activated.

Starting position: Sitting.

These exercises improve mental activity, synchronize the work of the hemispheres, promote memory, increase stability of attention, and activate the processes of writing and reading.

Three hand positions successively replace each other:

1. Palm clenched into a fist.

2. Position the palm edge-on on the plane of the table.

3. Straightened palm on the plane of the table.

6. "Elephant"

This is the most integrative exercise. "Anthem of the Brain" Balances the entire “intellect-body” system, stimulates and restores nerve networks, promotes concentration. Strengthen the external eye muscles, relieve tension after working on the computer, relieve tension and back pain.

Starting position: Standing.
Stand in a relaxed position. Knees slightly bent. Tilt your head towards your shoulder. From this shoulder, extend your arm forward like a trunk. The hand draws a “Lazy Eight”, starting from the center of the visual field up and counterclockwise; while the eyes follow the movement of the fingertips.

Myelination of nerve networks occurs, which contributes to the formation of skills, and this is especially important during the sensitive period of children’s development. Helps during periods of creative stagnation, making it easier to find a solution in a difficult situation.

Stretch your arm forward, bend your elbow, raise your thumb to the level of the bridge of your nose, and make figure eights in the horizontal field of vision. At the same time, follow the movement of the thumb with your eyes only. Draw eights from right to left and left to right, from top to bottom. Repeat 8-10 times.

Five or more eights are drawn with each hand, then also with both hands.

9. “Mirror drawing”

The exercise promotes synchronization of the hemispheres, perception of information, and improves memorization of information.

10. "Energy Yawn"

Relieves tension from the muscles of the face, eyes, mouth, and neck. The functions of the vocal cords improve, speech becomes clearer.

Starting position: Sitting.

11. "Thinking Hat"

There are 148 active points on the surface of the ear. This exercise helps you concentrate, as well as listen and speak better.

The duration of classes is from 5–10 minutes to 20–35 minutes. Exercises are performed daily, the duration of one cycle is 45–60 days.

Kinesiology is gymnastics for the brain.

Scientific research conducted in psychology and neurophysiology has revealed that certain physical movements have an impact on the development of human intelligence.
Based on the findings obtained, a new system emerged -Educational Kinesiology, aimed at exploring the mind-body connection and optimizing brain activity through physical movement.
On the theoretical basis of educational kinesiology, American psychologists Paul and Gail Dennison developed a program
Neurogymnastics - "Brain gymnastics". This is a technique for activating the natural mechanisms of the brain through physical exercise, combining movement and thought.

With the help of specially selected exercises, the body coordinates the work of the right and left hemispheres and develops the interaction between the body and the intellect.

Under the influence of kinesiological training, positive structural changes occur in the body. Strength, balance, mobility, plasticity of nervous processes are carried out at a higher level. The regulatory and coordinating role of the nervous system is improved. Brain gymnastics allows you to identify a person’s hidden abilities and expand the boundaries of the capabilities of his brain. Neurogymnastics is a universal system of exercises; it is effective for both children and adults at any age. But the use of kinesiological exercises in children with developmental problems is especially important.

Goals of kinesiology classes:

Development of interhemispheric specialization.
Development of interhemispheric interaction.
Development of commissures (interhemispheric connections).
Synchronization of the hemispheres.
Development of fine motor skills.
Development of abilities.
Development of memory and attention.
Speech development.
Development of thinking.
Elimination of dyslexia and dysgraphia.
